Mariner Calc is a powerful, yet streamlined spreadsheet for the Mac OS designed for the analysis, simulation and forecasting of numerical data. As for my thoughts, well I may not be a great user of spreadsheets, but from my limited testing, this one is rock solid, very quick, simple to use, and more importantly does all I need without being bloated beyond all recognition.
Now for the bad news, when I first started evaluating Mariner Calc, I contacted the developers with some questions about functionality, and was totally ignored, which does not give me any confidence about support. [more]

My comments about Mariner Calc also hold true for this wordprocessor, its solid, fast and compact, but does have a few minor issues, for example, it has no automated index or table of contents functions, and the M$ Word import filter produces some interesting results at time. Other than that its still crippled by the developers total lack of manors, but its still my simple WP of choice under OSX. [more]
YourSQL
YourSQL is a simple but powerful program to create and manipulate MySQL databases. It is intended to be easy to use for the beginner as well as the more advanced user, and provides access to some otherwise underused, advanced features of MySQL, such as indices, InnoDB tables, multi-statement SQL scripts and multi-threaded handling of SQL dumps for backups or similar administration tasks.
This is a new discovery and has now replaced CocaSQL as my preferred database client app, it may be written in Java (A pet hate of mine) but works well, and gives just about everything anyone would need for working with MySQL databases. Highly Recommended [more]
